MATTERS ARISING FROM THE MEETING ON 9th March

This is the first time I've felt the need to make a "matters arising" from a surgery, but this morning quite a lot happened.  We had an hour long discussion on the bare bones of composing a web page in HTML using Namo, and uploading it to your website using CuteFTP, during which I managed to confuse everybody, including myself.

For any of you wishing to try these programs out for yourself, both are available for download from the web as trial versions.

THE PROJECT

We slung together the remaining important components of the computer known as Project Oasis, and after a couple of adjustments it booted!
A lot remains to be done.  It needs to be put back together properly, and the modem installed.  We then need to reformat the hard disk, install Windows and configure the machine.  We still need a sound card.  As a last resort, and if enough donations are forthcoming, we may need to buy a (cheap) new one; the cheapest price I can find is 22,30€ The next surgery will be on Easter Saturday, 30th March, when I hope we will have a running system, which we can run as a tool for our main sessions.
If anybody has any spare computer parts they don't need, ALL contributions will be gratefully accepted.  As well as a soundcard, we are also looking for a cheap printer.

Finally, a reminder of my e-mail addresses:

billnot@billnot.com for general mail

questions@billnot.com for questions to be answered in the Grapevine or at a session.
