NOTES FOR THE MEETING ON 20th April
We'll be starting our look at the FAT filing system and File Management. This is pages 56 to 66 in Moira Stephen's book. In addition to the material in the book, I'll be referring to older notes of my own. You can download these notes from by right clicking this link and selecting "Save target as"
I would suggest you print off a copy for yourself and bring it with you. It's in plain text format to minimise download times. The topic will certainly take us more than one session, and a lot of it is theoretical, so I don't intend to spend the entire two hours on it. I will also be revising certain aspects of using the Internet, using Project Oasis as a demonstrator.
Project Oasis is complete apart from its Internet connection.

Just to remind you,
The formal meetings are on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the months; the informal ones on the 2nd and 4th. Due to the number of people attending, I don't have time to deal with specific problems at formal meetings; these are best aired at the informal ones.
