NOTES FOR THE MEETING ON 2nd March

Please don't forget to bring your text books with you - we will be using them.

Since so many people seem to be asking for it, I am going to do a quick resumee of how to configure your computer for an Internet connection - how to get an account with Wanadoo, how to set up your Dial-up Networking and how to configure Outlook Express.  If these topics are important, you may wish to refer to, and make a copy of the notes from the last time we looked at this.  To make your life easier, I'm making them available in Microsoft Word Format  for download.   Click Here   .  Please let me know which format you prefer, Rich Text or Microsoft Word.  Both can be read by WordPad.

Before we move onto the Control Panel, we'll be having a quick look at Menus, on pages 31 and 32 of the book.  Then onto our main topic, The Control Panel.  Pages 33 to 41.  Don't worry.  We won't be looking at all the different icons, just the easier ones, and the ones that you can play with with no risk of  doing anything nasty to your system.  In general, we'll be looking, rather than doing!

For those of you who don't yet have the text book, I will bring a few photocopies.

See you Saturday!

Just to remind you,

The text bookbook is:
