Our unscheduled topic
was that of mailing lists, what they are, how to join them and what
to expect. As usual, I give the links to my lists at the bottom
of this panel.
Our main subject was the filing system - how to
organise your own data and how to distinguish between things you
can change for yourself and those which are best left alone. It's
not a very exciting topic, not even to me, but it's something which
you need to know and understand if you're going to make the best
use of those computer applications which are interesting.
